Project Engineer:Conducted written and verbal communication with customers to understand expectations and requirements Followed ISO9001:2008 regulations to ensure quality of gears matched specifications set by OEM’s Developed new gears, shafts and other mechanical components based on studies of existing hardwareCreated dimensional drawings with tolerances following GD&T systemDesigned modifications of mechanical components to improve quality and service life so as to decrease customers annual down time by 50%Prepared quotes for customers in a timely matter which included thorough work scopesWorked with senior engineer and acquired knowledge about gear design, and calculating safety factors of contact fatigue and bending fatigueCertified Nuclear Quality Coordinator & Inspector : Oversee nuclear jobs. Confirm measurements, assemblies, and testing. Verify final measurements conform to customers standards.Mechanical Engineer:Disassemble and inspect industrial power transmissions. Record bearings and seals, and any miscellaneous parts (hardware, snap rings, AN nuts and washers, etc.) that need to be ordered. Measure bearing journal diameters, seal diameters and bore diameters in the housing. Dye penetrate gear sets for cracks and record visual indications and condition. Write report of gearbox condition and work scope for assembly.Assemble industrial power transmissions. Assemble bearings on shafts (tapered roller, spherical roller, cylindrical roller, adjustable double tapered assemblies, ball bearings, thrust bearings, Babbitt bearings). Assemble gearing when required (spur, helical, double-helical/herringbone, bevel set, worm set) Adjust bearing clearance in housing. Adjust tooth contact patterns and backlash.
