Teknor Apex Company is an international polymer compounded specializing in a variety of materials including flexible and rigid PVC, TPV, TPE, Nylon, TPU, and Bioplastics. As an Applications Development Engineer my role is to assist manufacturing, R&D, sales, and direct customer interaction. Internal topics range from new material development, continuous quality improvement, complaint validation, to global alignment. In direct coordination with customers it is common to assist in materials selection, equipment validation and troubleshooting, extrusion die design, and process development and optimization. Our customers cover a wide range of markets including automotive, medical supply, consumer goods, industrial goods. Materials are processed via extrusion, injection molding, thermoforming, blow molding, and a variety of hybrid processes to create high performance, cost effective solutions for these diverse markets.
