Daniel Bachmann personal email
Since September 2018, I’m professor for hydromechanics, hydrodynamic modelling and flood risk management in the Department of Water, Environment, Construction and Security (WUBS) at the University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg-Stendal. I studied, worked and taught at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at RWTH Aachen University (1998 - 2014). From 2014 to 2018 I worked in the Netherlands as a consulting engineer at Deltares, a global non-profit organization for applied research in the fields of water, soil and infrastructure. Now at the University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg-Stendal I’m teaching and researching also in the field of flood risk management. I’m supported by the Flood Risk Management research group (AG FRM). The education of young people, the research and the development of tools are my passion. I really enjoy the job here.
