I started with AxleTech in 2005 as Product Engineer and assumed gradually more responsibilities as Project and Senior Project Engineer, Engineering Supervisor and Engineering Manager. AxleTech was sold out in 2019. The off highway, military, aftermarket, and re-manufacturing axle business was purchased by Meritor and electric axle business was purchased by Allison Transmission.

• Product support for composite brake drum product and technical support for the manufacturing plant. Provide response to Engineering Deviation Requests issued by the plant quality department. • Develop and release new wheel-end products per priority and timing. • Project management including design concept, design layouts, approve and release production drawings, calculate tolerances stack-ups, Finite Element Analysis, analytical studies of Design FMEA, design review, order prototype tools and prototype parts, conduct testing for production certification and provide support for quality PPAP approval. • Conduct dynamometer drum or disc brake performance and structural durability tests, chucker tests, hub rotary fatigue tests, bearing durability tests and fleet field tests. Analyze test data; prepare test reports and technical presentations.• Resolve field issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.• Provide support for customer requests and application suitability analysis. • Provide assistance for purchasing suppliers selection including supplier pre-award. • Champion product related cost reduction projects. • Continues improvement of processes insuring proper implementation of design changes in manufacturing and insuring good communication between Engineering, Manufacturing, Central Purchasing and Suppliers.• Participation in Process Improvement Events using Six Sigma techniques and tools. • Use of 8D process in problem solving. Conduct Design of Experiment.

• Work on defense armored vehicles for General Dynamics Land System projects• Design parts and assemblies for lightweight combat vehicles. Work together with customer’s engineers, create production drawings with complete dimension and tolerance scheme, import, fix and modify 3D geometry, export images for presentations using Pro/Engineer CAD software. • Design sheet metal parts for the hull structure, electrical panels, racks and brackets for internal stowage. • Create top-level assemblies, analyze clearance/interference for welded hull, fuel system, pneumatic system, Design welded assemblies, chassis components, interior floor, spall liner and armor installation assemblies.• Manage Pro/E files using Pro Intralink.

• Design and model parts and assemblies, create manufacturing drawings for casting, forging, sheet metal, and plastic components for automotive, agricultural and manufacturing equipment using Pro/Engineer.• Design iron casting parts and assemblies for Diesel engines like cylinder block, cylinder head, inlet and exhaust manifolds. (Caterpillar project)• Design forged parts like piston rod, auxiliary connecting rod, crankshaft, camshaft (Caterpillar project).• Create assemblies for diesel engines (Caterpillar project).• Design spline shafts and gears, create layouts for transfer case and carriers (John Deer project).• Design mold parts made of Aluminum alloys like housings, hydraulic distributors.• Design plastic parts, test for taper/draft for mold extraction, and perform face and surface analysis.• Design the active parts of permanent molds for plastic injection for instrument panel components. • Design sheet metal parts using Pro Sheet Metal module, create the flat pattern for manufacturing purposes.• Create Pro/Engineer configuration files: config.pro, config.dtl, formats and bill of materials. Used Pro/PDM and Pro Intralink for file management.
