Daniel Baide is Chief Engineer for Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS), the Operations contractor at the Hanford Tank Farms in the state of Washington. He has 45+ years of experience in facility design, construction, testing/commissioning and facility operations in the nuclear industry. Prior to his current management assignment, he held positions as the engineering manager for the Process & Tank Integrity, Project Engineering and Retrieval/Closure Engineering groups for WRPS. Past experience includes startup and operation of large scale radiochemical processing facilities in support of the Department of Defense (DOD). He has held management assignments as a project manager, nuclear safety & licensing manager and environmental permitting manager for large capital funded Department of Energy (DOE) projects. He has supported work at other DOE facilities across the nuclear complex, including Savannah River, Los Alamos, West Valley and Rocky Flats sites.
