Daniel Barile is currently a Partner and Senior Portfolio Manager at SkyBridge Capital, where he is responsible for identifying, reviewing, and executing new investment opportunities, monitoring existing investments, and communicating investment themes and portfolio information to current and prospective clients. Mr. Barile joined SkyBridge via the acquisition of Citigroup’s hedge fund business in 2010. SkyBridge is an alternative asset manager founded in 2005 investing across markets including hedge funds, private equity, public equity, real estate, and digital assets.Mr. Barile also developed and teaches the Financial Empowerment course at Cardinal Hayes High School. The course covers the fundamentals of personal finance, as well as economics, markets, and investing, features guest lectures from prominent members of the financial services community, and culminates in a Wall Street internship experience. Mr. Barile joined the Hayes faculty in 2022. Hayes is a private Catholic high school founded in 1941 and located in the South Bronx, in one of the most economically disadvantaged communities in the United States.A native of Staten Island, Mr. Barile attended New York City public schools and was first exposed to the potential of a career on Wall Street via an internship on the trading floor at Salomon Smith Barney in the 11th grade in 1998 by way of the Academy of Finance, a work-based learning program run by NAF, an organization he has remained actively involved with over the years. Mr. Barile received a B.S. in Management with a concentration in Finance from Binghamton University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations.
