•Line Manager to 20+ remotely based field service engineers, ensuring all personnel are trained to the required levels to enable task completion. Ensuring the balance of personal and professional requirements of the field service engineers is monitored to ensure task availability.•Responsible for the allocation of engineering tasks to 50+ field service engineers throughout the world at short notice to a myriad of different projects.•Ensuring the engineering resources are allocated tasks in an efficient manner, minimising the amount of “down time” of all resources to ensure those resources are gainfully employed and avoiding the risk of resources becoming overheads.•Maintaining an overarching view of a wide range of projects, ensuring that field service engineers are working to plan and maintaining future loading of resources when slippage or scope creep occurs.•Maintaining a close relationship with customers, and being the point of contact for all technical issues, queries and project management concerns.

•Leading a team of site-based project engineers in the planned maintenance life cycle of 6 major surface vessels. •Liaising with the customer to provide engineering solutions to complex problems concerning a wide range of mechanical/electrical equipment, often concerning external OEM equipment.•Assisting the project manager to ensure that additions and improvements are conducted within allotted time and budget, ensuring that site teams are aware of constraints involved and conduct the required activities within those constraints.•Managing the modifications program to ensure that modifications are conducted wherever possible within time and budget whilst ensuring customer satisfaction.•Acting as the main point of contact to the customer and end user for any technical queries or defects, carrying out detailed analysis and where possible remote diagnosis and rectification of issues. Briefing site-based Engineers on activities required to diagnose and rectify issues.

Joined the Service as a Weapons Engineering Mechanic and worked through the ranks, completed Technician training and left as Chief Petty Officer Weapons Engineering Artificer. Experienced in working on a wide range of Electrical and Mechanical systems throughout the Naval Fleet.
