Support a large agile development department of over 130 people and 11 product squads, focussing on one platform at a time (made up of 3-4 product squads) as well as other broader cross-department initiatives.- Member of the software engineering leadership team, focussing on agile and continuous improvement elements of the department’s software engineering strategy, such as the development of a new competency framework.- Coaching/mentoring people and teams across the department at all levels to help them find ways to solve problems, raise capabilities and continually improve existing processes, focussing on topics such as:+ Ways of working (lean,xp,scrum,kanban)+ Strategy and outcome focussed value delivery (various approaches including OKRs)+ Leadership - servant leadership and leadership at all levels+ Situational thinking+ Quality+ Team dynamics/motivation/development+ Data driven continuous improvement/scientific method**Additional responsibilities**- Develop and facilitate bespoke strategy days, workshops and training materials for different audiences (new starters to senior leaders, small groups to large sessions of 100+ people)- Developed and launched an original maturity matrix (healthcheck) for teams that is used on a monthly basis to identify meaningful actions and ways to continually improve- Involved in the recruitment process of seniors and above to help assess agile knowledge and mindset of prospective candidates- Run a monthly agile guild session open to everyone in the department to share ideas and develop knowledge- Organised and run multiple successful hack weeks

Member of over a dozen different squads over 5 years (often up to 3 at the same time) responsible for the analysis and agile support for approximately 100 'projects' over 5+ years across the whole technology stack such as:- The development and launch of the UK and international responsive site- Complete redesign of the desktop booking path- Introduction of a new split testing mechanism- Technical Integrations with multiple external partners- Development and improvement of the backoffice and admin systems- Integration of a new international payment system into an existing booking path- Development and launch of multiple new innovative technologiesKey reponsibilities include:- Supporting multiple agile development teams concurrently with agile coaching where required- Eliciting requirements on a just-in-time basis- Promoting communication within teams and with relevant stakeholders- Using data to quantify issues and identify the root cause, as well as to measure the impact of change.- Development of new agile approaches to meet individual team and specific project needs.- doing whatever was required to help manage flow and remove impediments from the team - Working with teams and stakeholders to define an agreed Minimum Viable Product- Running and facilitating workshops, kick off sessions and retrospectives- Working with design, UX and front end teams- User onboarding practices- Sizing and project prioritisation- Testing- Stakeholder Management

- Requirements gathering, analysis and support for all department projects- Development of KPI's for a large international call center.- Creation of a comprehensive KPI pack used by all levels of the business- Analysis, development and maintenance of a payroll calculator that greatly simplified a highly complex commission scheme.- implementation of a new phone system- Training and support in Qlikview (reporting software) and Microsoft Office training to the rest of the company, with a particular specialisation in Microsoft Excel.

- The development of Management Information Systems across multiple international sites - Development of a new protected Local Area Network structure- Supported the transition to a new hybrid accounting system- Supported the upgrade to Lotus Notes 8 across the department – including requirements gathering, contingency planning and training - Supported office relocation – including up front analysis and testing- IT point of contact - Creation of multimedia training material for the department- Development of internal networks across multiple international sites

Work on multiple British Council projects/schemes including:- Creation of reporting systems for a new project, based on stakeholder requirements- Altering an established scheme’s structure in lines with a recent audit - Liaising and developing relationships with international teams and managers- Placement and management of 150 international scholars and 100 doctors in the uk
