Facilitating psychoeducational and substance recovery groups for co-ed adults in residential, partial hospitalization program, and intensive outpatient care. Providing supplemental individual counseling sessions. Working with the Clinical Director to develop bolstered clinical substance recovery support for patients.

Assisted the Aftercare Services Director with servicing up to 12 families annually in implementing effective transition plans post-treatment. The services included 16 weeks of aftercare coaching calls to parents of recently discharged adolescent students, availability for 24/7 crisis/urgent calls, and would conclude with a 3-day intensive home visit for our internationally diverse population.- Demonstrated a statistically significant lower relapse rate for families served

As the sole SUDC at Telos Academy, a therapeutic boarding school with beds for 52 students, and 13 students at their transitional living Anthem house, I maintained high therapeutic rapport with adolescent males and their families in individual and group substance use counseling. Additionally, I lead substance use treatment education company wide. In close collaboration with primary therapists we continually assessed the evolving needs of our students and families, and adjusted their treatment accordingly.-Developed SU Recovery program to be more empirically accurate and specifically tailored to demographic; over the course of 18 months I co-created a 50 page SU Module for clinicians- Co-Supervised, with a primary therapist (LCSW), Masters level clinical interns as they worked with us as substance use counselors; 2-3 per year- While overseeing the urinary drug screening program, in partnership with Nursing Director, we achieved a 70% reduction in cost for in house UDS’ and for lab screening for our patients

Facilitated nightly community groups with adolescent male students in treatment. Trained and supervised residential mentors. Attended and engaged in weekly treatment team meetings. Wrote treatment team notes, as well as daily shift charting for the team. Learned and implemented clinical-directed protocols for students. Provided consequences, feedback, insight, mentoring, and support for students. Learned and implemented a myriad of tools and interventions, with the students, that have been clinically proven effective. Worked closely with all members of the treatment team to assure best practices were performed for each student.

In a supplemental role, I maintained all duties same as Telos Academy, to support the development of a new Telos program, treating co-ed emerging adult populations.

Co-developed the state-adjudicated adolescent male and female treatment center, with proctor care, to be a leading adolescent program in the state of Utah at the time. Facilitated treatment teams, training, and psycho-education to staff and proctor parents. Created curriculum for recovery groups and supervised other paraprofessional group therapy.- Led hiring of staff and developed a culture of retention for multiple years

Daily shift lead; organized daily proposed schedule, supervisor of staff, coordinated tasks for 10 - 22 male and female adolescent clients. Gave verbal and written feedback to staff. Supervisor over Guides (mentors); auditing/monitoring their responsibilities, giving feedback, and trainings. Guide for many male clients. Represented program for client’s court hearings. Supervised and co-facilitated a variety of group therapy sessions. Created curriculum for and facilitated Aggression Replacement Therapy group.
