Mr. Bartelson is a well-respected local government administration and project management specialist. For nearly 20 years he has honed experience in not only managing projects, but also in engaging communities and developing consensus through inclusionary buy-in processes. He is adept at project and programmatic budgeting and control, and complete management of local government agency and private resources. Mr. Bartelson began his public sector career serving the City of West Hollywood as a community liaison in the Mayor’s Office. He then expanded his knowledge as an Analyst to the City Manager in South Pasadena. From there, he spent 10 years as the Assistant to the City Manager and Human Resources Director for the City of Lawndale. Finally, prior to joining EBA, Mr. Bartelson served as the Deputy City Manager for Signal Hill. In each role, he was tasked with the organization of community-oriented processes: developing coalitions, leading meetings, conducting extensive research, and coordinating community processes that led to an engaged community and successful programs and projects.
