I have a drive for optimum success; it’s my way of life. I was a straight-A student in grade school, but I dropped out of high school at sixteen to pursue my first goal. I attended a military school, YCP, and graduated at the top of my class, ranking in the top five academically. I also achieved the highest rank while there: 5 Star.At seventeen, I joined the Army and completed Basic Training at the top of my class once again. At eighteen, after seven months of enlistment, my unit was deployed to Iraq. I was just a kid—a Private First Class. With my wits and willingness to succeed, I began to lead. My fellow soldiers gave me an honorable nickname: P.F.C.I.C., which stands for Private First Class In Charge. I served honorably for several years, accomplishing my first goal.I was also a front-end mechanic for years. When I started, I didn’t know anything about mechanics, but with my determination and willingness to learn, I once again achieved another goal. I became the lead mechanic, started off just sweeping the floors and earning $7.50 an hour.Currently, I am employed at Greenberry Industrial in Jennings, Louisiana. After two weeks as a helper, the leadership recognized my work ethic and asked me to take on more responsibilities in the warehouse. Over the next few weeks, working overtime and weekends, I completely transformed the warehouse into an organized space. I was promoted to warehouse lead and held that position for seven months.Recognizing my contributions, management then asked me to assist by becoming the Receiving Coordinator. Shipping and Receiving was overwhelmed with work and needed to be split to return to peak efficiency. I held this position for nine months, helping to keep things organized and streamlining the system. Eventually, business slowed down to the point where Shipping and Receiving could be handled by just one person again.I was then asked to take over the Tool Room, which was in shambles and completely unorganized, making inventory tracking impossible. I cleaned the space, and a coworker helped by building new shelves. The Tool Room is now organized and running smoother than ever.This description reflects the kind of man I am and who I will always be. What you have read portrays what I consistently bring to the table. There’s only one way to do something: the right way, and never half-cocked. Proper leadership and teamwork are the keys to success.
