    Designers must be aware of the water and pressure available at the water main to design safe structures. Hydraulic Testing and Certification use the methods given in AS2419.1 to physically measure the residual pressure available at the water main at the location. This arms you with accurate, in-situ, data to design safe and efficient systems that any certifier will sign off on. It also reduces the chance of failing a commissioning test which keeps your builders happy and returning to you for future work. If the required water pressure and flow is not available then a tank and fire pumps are required which will significantly impact the viability of the project and should be understood as early as possible.
