I consider myself to be an energetic and highly motivated designer, thriving on problem solving within a fast-paced environment and developing initial design briefs from conception through to completion.I currently hold several years experience within a technical design role - many of these years as a Senior Technical Design Engineer managing a small design team - and a further three years of training and development during a BA Product Design university degree.I enjoy working closely with a team of similar passion for design, and equally excited by working autonomously on independent projects both at home and in the workplace. I greatly appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with the client on new and existing R&D projects and have the confidence and drive to lead projects through to their full design life cycle.I believe myself to be highly skilled in such CAD software as AutoDesk Inventor and have had many years of experience working with Solidworks and Solid Edge; working closely with metal fabricators and joinery specialist during recent employment has further developed my working knowledge of mechanical and structural materials and their fabrication processes.I am a very fast learner and jump at every opportunity to strengthen my understanding of product design essentials and engineering methods through training and hands-on experience such as prototyping.During my time with my recent employer, I have progressed from a junior technical designer to managing a humble design team as a Senior Design Engineer. I have benefited greatly from fantastic opportunities such as visiting large scale production facilities in China and the Czech Republic to ensure quality and design conformity throughout, meeting with market leading retail clients in Germany and Belgium to critique and develop installations of my own design, and further improving my interpersonal and communication skills by working closely with all departments within the company to deliver superior quality products and services on time at highly competitive prices.I endeavor to provide a fresh and energetic approach to design and consumer market research, a confident and methodical attitude to problem solving, and an excellent ability to effectively communicate design both within the company and towards the client.
