- Product portfolio to the value of R320m, which grew by 13.4% in 2022. - Managing the mix of product sent to ± 250 Identity stores for the Identity Menswear clothing brand (specifically all accessories, footwear, formalwear & jeanswear), based on sales history, trade analytics and trend forecasting.- Planning pre-season (product strategy, product plan, store plan, cross plan, grading) & in-season sales, markdown, receipts & provisions using MFP & Excel.- Managing stock levels based on sales plans, weeks of supply, sell-off rates and range balance based on assortment factors (fabric, colour, style, fabric weight etc.)- Proposing order quantities and timing based on company stock levels and distribution centre capacity.- Making use of appropriate allocation methods based on store performance, history, product type and time of the year.- Extensive use of Microsoft Excel for trade analytics- Preparing for & presenting in quarterly product strategy meetings, which entails analyzing performance and forecasting future sales plans for the brand’s various product types to divisional planning & buying directors. - Preparing for & presenting in range plans in monthly range review meetings, which entails analyzing the timing of product placement as well as the balance of the range in comparison to sales history, to the divisional planning & buying directors. - Building relationships and negotiating with suppliers- Mentoring and assisting trainee planners in learning the role of merchandise planning and the company’s systems.
