My experience/education at Metalworks spans the entire capabilities of the facility. I started working as a mechanic fabricator splitting my time between fabrication in the shop and installations in the field. Metalworks primarily as a high end furniture/lighting fabrication shop for well know interior designers in the NY area. After a year of accurately honing my craftsman skills in the shop I adjusted my role at the shop to create shop drawings for the projects to minimize the mistakes created between engineering and fabrication. Naturally I continued to expand my role at the shop managing all field work projects. Over my time at Metalworks I engineered many projects from my own field dimensions to the white glove installations I led. Each custom installation and project provided a depth of learning working with clients, fabricators, machinist, and difficult field constraints working primarily in the NYC area.

Flux Design is a well known design/fabrication shop in Portland Or. Flux works specifically with project designers to provide architectural metal elements for high end projects worldwide. My role at Flux was primarily fabrication and facilitation of installations. My experience at Flux taught me more than just fabrication and small scale project management but also was integral in applying engineering for project installation.
