This position involved the development of two papers. The first paper, under the advisory of Dr. Erin Watson, focused on comparing dental oncology departments across Canada (awaiting publication). The second paper, under the advisory of Dr. Michael Glogauer and Dr. Howard Tenenbaum, focused on comparing periodontitis and peri-implantitis at a cellular level. This work also explores how peri-implant inflammation parallels a cytokine storm, leading to the proposal of a novel therapeutic approach (awaiting publication).
