Successfully completed a graduate rotation program, receiving consistently high reviews across placements in five different teams with a range of responsibilities covering Security and Authentication, Back-End Transaction Management, Third-Party Integration, Data Analysis and Front-End UI creation.Experienced a wide array of differing methodologies and tech stacks across different project structures in various specialised development departments, while adapting quickly in order to blend in with a given approach and maintain velocity.Demonstrated a constant and meticulous devotion to security by organising and attending collaborative rotational security review processes and in once instance raised a security concern which had significant potential to expose PII allowing the company to avoid a leak.Our team undertook the remodelling of the Rebalance system, a pivotal component within our company that manages over 10000 investment accounts daily, resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars of trades. My substantial contribution to this involved enhancing the system's granularity and precision, aiming to benefit customers by minimising unnecessary trades when only a specific portfolio element requires an update. This enhancement was accomplished by a significant overhaul of legacy code to apply portfolio models separately rather than blending them together. Notably, the original system lacked unit test coverage and suffered from significant quality issues. To address this, I took extensive measures to attain over 80% code coverage from comprehensive unit tests and substantially reduced compiler warnings and code issues detected by our quality control agent. Although the project comprised multiple facets and stages, my team successfully achieved a major milestone—the full integration of the new system with the existing application to allow the usage and operation of the revamped system’s features. Despite management's initial reservations about the timeline and the interruptions we faced while rectifying critical high-priority issues in the live product, we managed to meet this significant deadline.
