Under the Laboratory Manager's direction; develops documents, directs, and coordinates the hospital quality Assurance/quality control (QA/QC) program, for staff involved in the biological samples collection and analysis. Develops and coordinates special programs and projects related to quality control; reviews laboratory practices and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance with quality assurance and performs related work as required.

Perform testing procedures (Hematology, clinical chemistry, immuno/hematology, microbiology, molecular, and others); will monitor and evaluate laboratory activities; will provide the necessary information for proper patient care; and ensure quality laboratory service

Perform lab work by following detailed instructions given by more educated or experienced laboratory staff. Specialize in a single area, such as phlebotomy, which is sample collection and sample processing.

Plan laboratory quality assurance activities, and supervise the implementation to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely result delivery for customers while taking proper safety precautions. Evaluate quality control and proficiency testing for all laboratory tests. Plans workload distribution and creates schedules. Supervises appropriate order of regents, supplies, and equipment. Inspect the supply chain management system. Evaluate equipment and reagent inventory system. Responsible for direct supervision and evaluates staff performance on a part-time basis.
