This position provides an in home demonstration of one or more of our products, i.e. kitchen/bathroom remodels, flooring, countertops to a potential consumer and we utilize a computer generated interactive presentation to help assist the consumer in visualizing what Sears products can do for them during a pre-set appointment. Responsibilities included supervising the setting of material conditions by verifying that all appropriate fittings and closures are secure during wartime and while entering/leaving port, inspecting and testing damage control and firefighting equipment to include fire stations and extinguishers, battle lanterns, emergency escape breathing devices, overboard discharges, deck drains, ladder-wells, etc., in accordance with navy instruction and the ship’s current maintenance plan, ensuring that all 38 designated compartments had piping, cables, fittings, damage control and firefighting equipment properly labeled and/or identified by color code, and conducting daily inspections of all divisional spaces to ensure elimination of fire hazards.
