I did research in GNC with focus on visual-based navigation for space missions. Continuing with my bachelor thesis “Autonomous Navigation in a GPS denied Environment. Project MID (Mars Inspection Drone)”. I developed a preliminary version of simulations usingvirtual environment for exploration missions on Planet Mars. A flying drone prototype was designed capable of finding and inspecting Martian lava tubes.

I was assigned to work in the Space Segment and Robotics department. I was introduced to the Guidance, Navigation, and Control department within GMV. During my training period, my main focus was on developing a 3U CubeSat GNC prototype using MATLAB/Simulink.

The ROSPIN-SAT-1 project is a Romanian student-led educational CubeSat mission of observing the vegetation and inventorying the forests on the territory of our country in order to inform activities to combat forest degradation. In late 2022, our team was selected to be part of the ESA Fly Your Satellite Design Booster program. As a systems engineer, my responsibilities include:● Hosting weekly technical meeting,● Ensuring effective communication throughout the entire team,● Liaising with suppliers (EnduroSat, Infinity Avionics, TensorTech, GomSpace),● Organising and maintaining core documentation,● Performing and reviewing analysis reports,● Drafting and verifying requirements,● Providing solutions to technical problems
