I have a broad spectrum of experience working in roles with local government from an early age working in Business Administration following that a Legal role for a number of years supporting a Principal Solicitor whilst holding my own case load advising on contractual issues, procurement queries and drafting/reviewing of documentation. More recently I have taken this learning to a commissioning officer role within the council which was largely involved in the procurement cycle of the services it supported/managed. This drew upon previous learning of contract issues and the practicalities of applying them in practice. Whilst also leading on my first full procurement exercises. I now work in a Procurement Officer role on all matters of procurement advice competition hosting on both E-Procurement services whilst also sourcing the most efficient pre procured methods of contract appointment such as frameworks where appropriate. This also gets me involved in the contract management of higher value contracts and problem solving with colleagues as and when appropriate working into all departements at the appropriate level.
