Big Data is my passion these days; this includes not only ETL work but modeling this data for consumption in Analytics and Machine Learning. Currently, I am a Senior Application Developer at General Mills. Responsibilities include the developed and supported applications on various platforms including: .NET, Oracle, SQL Server, CSS, JavaScript, HTML, Angular, Bash Scripting, Scala, Spark and more. Specifically, I am a developer on the eCommerce team. Due to the immaturity of the area, the field of eCommerce comes with many challenges in collecting data. My mission is to import this data into our Data Lake and model it in a form that can provide meaningful business analysis . Also, much of our data needs to be consumed by various Machine Learning systems. Additional responsibilities include performing business analysis as well as being in developer roles, while frequently interacting with other employees/divisions to obtain necessary information in order to successfully forecast and plan for future objectives..
