I have worked at Jaguar Landrover for over 21 years where I started as an associate. I then progressed though the ranks doing rectification then became a floater covering sick and holiday. I then moved into the group leader role. I was successful in being recruited for a stand in supervisor role which i did for 12 months. During this time my knowledge and skills were both vastly enhanced. I increased my knowledge about the company, business and its procedures and how my role fitted in. I also learnt a lot about myself in this role and how to work with individuals and teams. At times I found the role challenging, however I used these challenges as an opportunity to grow and become better at the role. Whilst doing this role my confidence also grew significantly. I am used to working in a fast paced manufacturing environment where day to day targets have to be met, people need guiding, policies and procedures need following and risk is managed. I am confident and effective in this environment. I also have experience in working within a unionised environment having been a supervisor in trim and final departments. Demonstrated by my promotions within the company, I am hardworking and a quick and enthusiastic learner who is adaptable to different settings and people. From my roles, I show a proven ability to lead and motivate a team. I am a strong leader who leads by example and is a good role model. I am able to lead and be empathetic to the differing needs of colleagues as well as balance these within the company goals. I have a customer first attitude and feel I represent the company positively. I have good problem solving skills using 8 D and 5 F to investigate any issue back from the point of a failure to root cause. Shown by my experiences, I am eager to learn and progress further and continue to drive the company vision forward.
