Responsible for the service of Rohde & Schwarz RF test and measurement equipment including spectrum & signal analysers, vector network analysers, signal generators, power sensors, oscilloscopes and more. Resolve measurement instrument faults through use of detailed service manuals, collating test and calibration results from different sources with functional descriptions of units in an effort to create a solution for the repair.Performed full calibrations and performance tests on a variety of equipment. Required manually verifying calibration rig test results on the bench in order to make sure the measurements are valid. Responsible for ordering expensive parts and modules as well as the supervision of one new engineer giving informal RF, physics, and job-specific training. Strong focus on attention to detail, mechanical sympathy, and time constraints are required during instrument service.

Undertook wireless compliance testing on an extremely wide range of different products utilising varied wireless communications technologies.Significant focus on conducted RF testing using Spectrum Analysers, RF Signal Generators, Network Analysers, Oscilloscopes, Power Metres and Wireless Communications Testers. Exposure to wireless technologies such as: WLAN, Bluetooth, Cellular (LTE, NB IoT), VHF Radio (FM/AM VHF, AIS, DSC), Short Range Devices, RFID and more. Tested to specifications from ETSI, IEC, FCC and more. Setting up and calibrating both conducted and radiated wireless test environments. Additionally, have run fully automated systems and performed purely manual measurements. Strong focus on personally reading the technical documentation and producing results based on the guidelines and limits, allowing the responsibility to work autonomously.
