Reporting to the CEO, I am tasked with implementing best practice Maintenance strategies across the Real Dairy Australia network, comprising of 3 manufacturing facilities within Australia.

As part of the Site Leadership Team and reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, my role was to manage and influencethe Maintenance and Reliability Team to ensure the sites metrics are achieved in all aspects of Safety, Delivery, Cost andPeople. Primarily focusing on unplanned downtime and circumstances which lead to downtime, working within a teamenvironment to instill best practice principals that ensure the plant can achieve its output. My current team of 6 direct reports and 21 indirect reports are responsible for all site Maintenance activities, reliability, planning, purchasing and stores.

The Arnott's facility in Huntingwood employs 400 people and produces 55,000 tonnes of product each year. The plant is designed to run high volume products and uses a number of different highly automated packaging systems including robotics to achieve this. A large number of Australia's best loved biscuits are produced at Huntingwood including Tim Tams, Shapes, Jatz, Mint Slice, and Salada. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, as the Reliability and Maintenance Manager I am accountable for the safe and effective operation of all production and site related activities. Reporting to this role are the shift based Team leaders, Engineering Stores and Planning and Environmental Services.

In this role I was responsible for the functional operation of a highly automated Manufacturing Line to ensure site production targets are met, while effectively partnering with the Operations and Maintenance teams to plan and execute the maintenance and project tasks to improve production efficiency.

Ensuring execution of the Capital Plan by successfully managing, planning and completing Capital Project upwards of $2M.

Executing electrical projects from the planning and development stage through to execution, commissioning and post install education.Training and development of site electricians with maintenance and breakdown jobs.

A Project Engineering role where I managed and implemented projects in line with the site environment and customer needs, supervised external resources to achieve project goals, monitored the financial aspects of a project’s associated capital, developed, managed and executed engineering change through the various site systems.

• Electrical work involved in the installation, repair, alteration, removal, addition and modification of Production Systems.• Validation and commissioning of various production systems totaling in excess of $6.5M. Leading hand of contracting electrical group throughout installation.• Troubleshoot and fault find PLC, SCADA, electrical and electronic systems and equipment including manufacturing, packaging and site service systems.• Develop, modify and approve schematic drawings using AutoCAD.
