Fleet maintenance on type I and type II school buses. Duties include light diesel repair, suspension and drivetrain work, body repair, brake inspection and replacement, Fluid changes, greasing, light wiring, fabrication of brackets, etc. MIG welding, repairing defects and preventative maintenance on vehicles, use of oxyacetylene torches, repair step wells, and documentation of repair work completed. I also perform DMV prep inspections of fleet, list all defects found, repair defects, and document repair work done.

De-truck rail cars to do center pin modification and replace radius arm bushings, then re-truck the railcars. Remove draft gears and couplers for service, then replace after they are serviced. Minor servicing in accordance with the Field Maintenance Instruction sheets such as replacing brake line hoses, safety wire, etc.

Duties range from fluid changes to king pin replacement, greasing to brake inspection/repair/replacement, and everything in between. Perform shop inspections to comply with OSHA and Dattco safety guidelines and procedures and clean the shop.
