4th year Computer Science student at RIT. I got into Computer Science back in middle school when a friend introduced me to Scratch. From there, I began dabbling in game development, particularly with Unreal Engine. During high school, I developed an interest for cybersecurity, and began working on hacking challenges offered by sites such as HackTheBox. Today, I have an interest in many different Computer Science fields, and have experience in C, Java, and Python. I've created and maintained servers with the purpose of running websites, hosting documentation, and dedicated servers for games. I'm actively developing a video game as a personal project called HEATED, an action game that combines FPS and real-time strategy elements using Unreal Engine, Microsoft's Playfab service, and a touch of C++. Other projects I've worked on include "Purple Attack," a text based "hacking game" written in Java, where two players play with simulated terminals and try to "hack" the other player, and even an arcade machine utilizing a Raspberry Pi.The thing I love about Computer Science is that there is yet to be a branch that has made me bored. What started as an interest in game development has grown into so much more, and I keep finding new aspects of the field that I would love to be a part of. I'm always ready to learn and try something new, and I enjoy starting new projects, big, small, with a team or by myself. As a second year Computer Science student at Rochester Institute of Technology, I can't wait to learn where this field will take me.
