● Promote business and economic development in Israel and in a 13-State Midwest region with a focus on energy, IT, life sciences, security and water, with knowledge of challenges and trends facing global companies and researchers and familiarity with relevant Israeli technology solutions● Meet 1-on-1 with elected government officials and staff, Fortune 500 executives and investors on a regular basis to encourage collaboration and investment with Israeli counterparts● Present and speak about doing business in Israel and the Israel “Start-Up Nation” story with economic development groups, non-profit organizations and on college campuses across the Midwest● Develop and lead multiple international conferences and roadshows throughout the year in the Midwest, hosting delegations of up to 20 Israeli companies and government officials, with attendance of 100+, including the U.S.-Israel Healthcare Innovation Conference, U.S.-Israel Medical Innovation Meeting and North America-Israel Biotech Conference● Coordinate visits of U.S.-based companies, investors, and business delegations to Israel in healthcare, IT, and security industries to meet with local companies, researchers and organizations● Promote State-to State agreements with the Ministry of Economy of Israel for joint R&D projects, with successful such agreements in 2014 in Michigan and Ohio● Attend major industry and trade shows throughout the Midwest to network and promote Israeli technology and investment
