Analyzes, plans, designs, develops, and tests software systems for Command and Control (C2) systems for Post Production Software Support. Participates in requirements analysis, requirements management, functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, systems integration and testing for verification. Assists with modification of system architectures to address the most current changes being utilized by units and support facilities. Creates and updates procedural documentation for current project supported systems used in testing and analysis. Applies sound and fundamental IT practices with platform and networking equipment. Manages Communications Security (COMSEC) account for the project; act as the Local Element (LE) with the responsibilities of safeguarding and disposition of electronic keys, reports, devices, and material; kept an accurate inventory of keying material. Created 7 platform images to support multiple versions of JCR and 6 hardware types. Created, modified, reviewed and executed over 25 new test case documents used in testing system functionality. Performed hardware setup for testing of software applications proposed in quarterly releases. Experienced with downloading and resolving issues users may experience with PIV certificates required for gaining access to certain government websites and MicrosoftOutlook mail. Setup the testing environment used for conducting quarterly software testing and testing of Software Change Request (SCR) provided by software developers on current OS. Provided daily reports to document results of system, integration, user and related testing throughout test cycle.

My job is to work with on-site and off-site personnel to help assist in 24/7 Army Operations. I am to report all findings from field personnel and resolve issues as quickly as possible. I test equipment and run diagnostics on equipment to ensure reliability and authenticity. Before I joined this contract, operational parts and disorganization led to having over a year long process. Now we have changed the process and most issues are resolved withing 1-3 months. Manage and coordinate work efforts with work groups to ensure the highest quality of customer service and network (L-Band) monitoring occurs as well as network security monitoring and troubleshooting. Work individually and in a team capacity to field calls from remote customers and satellite terminal technicians regarding services needed, updates, or closure of trouble tickets as well as prioritizing, and escalating accordingly. Remotely configure, manage, and troubleshoot issues as well as perform service test procedures to analyze results for issue isolation. Test and analyze Modems, Spectrum Analyzers and other equipment to troubleshoot items when issues are reported. Monitor and track equipment shipments (CONUS/OCONUS). Create and interpret technical documents/evaluations and manuals and recommend revisions as needed. Assist in training. Assist SMC Engineer with designing, developing, and testing of software (Code Metal) where required. Work with QA to ensure that product meets quality standards and that documentation is complete and accurate.

My position Managed and Observed a shift 8 people on a 24/7/365 Help-Desk position. The NOC for BFT's inclluded a BFT1, BFT2, 3 Administrators, 2 Sr. Administrators and a Shift Lead. We provided multiple services to Army Operations and conducted Tier 1 - Tier 3 Troubleshooting. While in my position, I was able to minimize the length a ticket was open, create and provide solutions and train multiple personnel for greater promotion. Managed all team operations and personnel to ensure the highest quality of customer service and network (L-Band (DCAT)/Terrestrial) monitoring occurred as well as network security monitoring and system troubleshooting. Transceiver provisioning and other related help desk functions for the Army's Blue Force Tracker (BFT) System worldwide. Management of five Mission Command systems (FBCB2 - 6.5, JCR, JBC-P, TIGR and MTS) operating on multiple networks (SIPR, NIPR, BFT1 & BFT2 L-band, and EPLRS) domains (CUI, NIPR, SIPR, CX-SWA and CX-K) attached to the BFT1/2 NOC. Monitor, operate and maintain the tactical servers and other computer systems associated with the JCR and JBC-P Operations NOC as well as configuring servers as needed. This includes DDS, C2R/C2I, SNMP, LDAP/ADAM.LDIF and other operational servers. Assess, identify, and resolve issues immediately or assemble critical personnel for team resolution. Provide responsive, 24/7/365 management and quality support to CONUS and OCONUS operational and training missions.
