Enterprise grade distributed deployments support up to 500 workstations and servers across WANS/LANS with no single point of failure.• Earned a reputation for bringing stability to products with extensive technical debt.• Transitioned with 5 developers to a different 911 product offering under another division of Comtech, replacing the previous team.• Took on remote management of 4 QA members and technical leadership for 2 DBAs.• Through coordination with DevOps reduced production ticket counts from ~600 a month down to ~40 a month, within 1 year of involvement.• Analyzed code, QA bug reports, and production tickets to provide product and devs recommendations on "biggest bang for the buck" changes.• Azure cloud 2017 TFS migration from previous on-premise 2008 TFS instance.• Migrated ~50,000 test cases from HP's QC scaled down to ~10,000 test cases into TFS introducing custom metrics and trend reporting in the process.• Lead 3 month R&D effort exploring options to migrate 911 systems to public/private cloud hosting using WebRTC for call delivery.

Telecommunication Systems (TCS) provides 911 National Emergency Number Association (NENA/i3) SIP based compliant applications including a call handling, call delivery, CAD (computer aided dispatch) mapping, and centralized administration applications. These components are built on WPF, windows services, winForms, and Silverlight respectively. I was initially hired on with microDATA in Oct. of 2011. TCS acquired microDATA in July of 2012. I was promoted to development manager within 1 year from my initial hire date and within 4 months of the acquisition. I helped expand the team from 2 developers to 9 in the Denver location. In addition to my management role I am the technical lead on the next gen product line which represents over 5 million in revenue to the company in the first 2 years and over 20 million projected in the next 5 years. Key responsibilities and accomplishments include:• I wear many hats: technical manager, developer, product manager (requirements creation), and scrum master.• I have put together a very capable team with direct decisions on hiring and firing for both full time and contract positions.• I help facilitate a team of 18 developers and 11 QA across 3 locations (Denver-CO, St. Johnsbury-VT, and Seattle-WA). • I fulfill the scrum master role in our daily stand-ups. • I have successfully demoed the system to external senior management teams during the sales cycle for our two biggest customers worth 5 million in revenue.• Provide guidance and technical/coding knowledge for the team to ensure delivery against aggressive timeframes.• I have helped to introduce unit tests, mocking frameworks, and continuous integration into our development process.• I championed the agile (Scrum) methodology with daily stand-ups converting from a pre-existing waterfall process.

I was brought on board as a UI expert in WPF to upgrade a pre-existing product from winForms. The applications were built using SQL 2008 R2, VS2010/TFS, developed in both VB and C# .NET 4.0 & 4.5.• I completely redesigned the UI from the ground up. The architecture allowed for changing 7 colors and instantly the UI would transform to another skin dynamically.• The above was accomplished by taking all the base controls (combobox, itemsControl, radioButton, etc) and heavily modifying each style to the desired effect.• I overhauled our entire contacts administration from the database schema all the way to the UI by changing it from a flat model to a multi-tiered folder structure.• I created a fixed width grid to display Ali information and a custom utility to easily map properties to any location within the grid.• I helped build a prism framework as a base for the application from the ground up using unity.• I created a custom dialog service that could be called generically from any view model built on top of the prism framework.• I was the team lead in charge of branching and merging.

CSS provided front office and back office applications for the financial services industry. I worked on the team that developed the WMX product. This product targeted the PCG (private client group) where a typical user had 10-100+ clients each with a portfolio worth over $1 million. WMX was built using VS2008/TFS, SQL 2008, developed in C# .NET 3.5. • Learned the intricacies of WPF, XAML and MVVM.• Taught other developers how to work with WPF and the MVVM pattern.• Created a small WCF service to manage user name and password information.• Created a custom utility to change the color theme and skin of the entire WMX application dynamically by changing out resource dictionaries.• Became the tech lead on creating the block order trading UI. It allowed a user to quickly enter a trade that rebalanced holdings across all client portfolios.• The block order trading UI relied heavily on threading to dynamically calculate individual cell and record values while at the same time enabling and disabling in grid editing as calculations finished.• Used TDD as a process to write code and unit tests in conjunction with RhinoMocks.• Worked on a team doing maintenance and bug fixes for 6 months.

SST is a company that builds applications that integrate with handheld barcode and RFID mobile devices. We specialized in custom software development and selling 3 packaged applications dealing with asset management. All development was done with the Microsoft product suite.• Developed custom warehouse management applications in C#, VB, and .NET Compact Framework.• Focused on UI development in win forms and also scaled down versions on handheld devices.• Support and fix bugs on 3 legacy package applications written in VB6.• Took lead on a profitable 6 month project to include: requirements elicitation, code/DB design, development, testing, and installation.• Wrote reports using Crystal Reports.• Present project proposals and design specifications to our clients at the executive management level.• Create compact mobile versions of our software for Windows Mobile devices using compact SQL for data storage.• Integrated different manufacturers hardware SDKs into our application to interface with: cameras, barcode scanners, and RFID scanners.
