I was employed as a contractor in Research Information Technology for almost six years at Pfizer Inc. During this time, I performed various job functions, most recently as a data analyst and a business analyst. I am currently employed as a business analyst at Pfizer. The business analyst duties included gathering business requirements from end users in various business lines. I have communicated these requirements to project teams which included on-site full-time employees as well as off-shore resources. I have gathered feedback from end users within the business as applications were being developed and provided this feedback to the technical teams as appropriate. I have created, executed and documented numerous user acceptance testing scripts for Pfizer internal applications. I also performed extensive testing for change requests for the Research Information Factory (RIF) data warehouse. Some of this work involved assisting in the creation of functional and business requirement documents. The data analyst duties included knowledge of the chemistry and biology data relationship to Research business processes. I was a subject matter expert for the Research Information Factory data warehouse and many of the source databases, data loading and data retrieval applications used within Research. I have identified and created solutions that automatically detected data discrepancies caused by errors from the data sources by running Pipeline Pilot protocols. I performed ad-hoc analysis to detect data quality discrepancies and identified the root cause of customer data quality issues and addressed the issues with either temporary fixes or change requests for permanent solution development. I also worked on a SharePoint site that would provide scientists and Information Technology users the ability to delete data, search for missing organizational data store information, search for missing chemistry data, retrieve metrics information and view frequently asked questions.
