Project LeaderBarnes & Noble Apr 2006 - Jun 2010Westubry, NyConversion - Due to Policy change of not using Social Security Number (SSN) as employee IDs we had to convert and create a new process that auto generates employee IDs with a check digit at the end. Used PeopleCode to create this auto generating process and added it to the New Hire process with the flexibility of using SSN or Employee ID for rehires. Wrote an SQR to convert all employee IDs in Personal Data and then the DBA ran scripts that converted the rest of the Database. The project involved a close collaboration between HR, DBA and stores. PeopleSoft 8.9 Upgrade - major customization changes especially on the Time & Labor side, used Application Reviewer to understand the PeopleSoft changes made to the TL pages and processes and added our customization to that delivered process. Made changes to the Application Engine, SQRs, message PeopleCode, Pages and components etc...TL Archiving - Due to heavy volume of punches, more than 50,000 daily, a process had to be created to archive them. Lead the project and worked closely with the DBA and created new pages in order to maintain access to the archived punches for our users. Learning Plan & Improvement Plan (ePerformance) - Used delivered PeopleSoft templates to create a customized process for our Learning Plan & Improvement plan. TL Bundles - Had to re-apply all the necessary customization after the TL Bundles were added to the test databases. -

On the PeopleSoft side had to create security records and a procedure that created eligibility for our employees and pages to see everything the employees are eligible for. -

Created a customized and automated severance process in order to simplify the store closing procedures. One SQR would create a merger file that would be used with a merged letter, once the letters were received and the necessary information updated in PeopleSoft, another process would then automatically insert severance and term records into job and update pay sheets with the necessary payouts. -
