Served as a Radar Intercept Officer, flew 21 combat missions in support of Operation Desert Storm; subsequently served as a U.S. Navy Adversary Instructor with Fleet Adversary Squadron 45, provided post-graduate level instruction in air-to-air warfare to aircrew representing U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force fighter aviation. Reported to 2d Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company (ANGLICO) as a Forward Air Controller and Naval Gunfire Liaison Officer, deployed as 2d ANGLICO Detachment Officer in Charge in support of SPMAGTF UNITAS. In 2004, assigned to II Marine Expeditionary Force and served in the G-3 Fires and Effects Coordination Center (FECC) as MEF Air Officer and Senior Joint Terminal Attack Controller. In February 2005, deployed to Camp Fallujah, Iraq and served as II MEF (FWD) and Multi-National Force-West Air Officer and Senior JTAC, was accountable for the sourcing, coordination, and synchronization of aviation operations in support of MNF-W. Additional tours of duty included: Training Squadron Operations Officer; U.S. Sixth Fleet Assistant Air Officer for Strike Operations and Fleet Battlewatch Captain; and University of Pennsylvania Naval ROTC Instructor and Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection Training Officer.
