Heath Farm is a part of Autism Care dedicated to supporting people with autism and learning disabilities. The people I support require varying amounts of help in their daily routine and I pride myself on learning and understanding each individual person’s needs. The type of work can often be physically demanding and I see myself as a confident member of the team and try my best to adapt to any situation by good communication with the people I support, other staff and team leaders.At the end of each shift I fill out care plans in a clear and precise manner to give the team at hand-over the best information possible for a smooth transition.

At Interflora my job was to answer calls from customers and take orders for items such as flowers, wreaths, hampers and other floral items delivered all around the world.Funeral wreaths were of utmost importance and I had to be confident in my abilities to get things delivered on time. I enjoyed this work as I enjoy customer interaction and helping them find the right gifts for every occasion and was satisfied providing a friendly customer service.I was bought into the position as a temporary employee over the Christmas period.

I was working on placement at Homebase to prove that I am both willing and committed to finding full time work. Working at Homebase, I learnt a lot about working in a busy warehouse and getting jobs done as part of a team, but most importantly how to help customers with any queries they have about products and help them the best way I can.

Sleaford

I was studying at Grantham College at this time and decided I needed some extra money over the Christmas period. My job was to make sure all stock was re-filled on a regular basis; I also had to have good customer skills as I would be working on the shop floor and needed to give advice and answer customer queries.
