• Responsible for the application, quality, and development of the paint shop sealer materials utilized in Paint Shops across 11 FCA North American Assembly Plants• Co-led supplier quality reviews of both new and existing Material Suppliers and conducted onsite reviews in order to evaluate Supplier Quality Control Plans as well as countermeasures that were put in place based on critical issues experienced at our plants• Managed new and existing material suppliers through new material development and led the development from concept through to launch of the new materials within FCA Assembly Plant Paint Shops, which required full testing and validation to ensure that the functional specifications and requirements of the material were met while also maintaining the processing capabilities. - Led the development, testing/validation, and launch of a new Paint Shop Sealer material that reduced overall material usage by 20%, greatly improved overall quality and water-leaks, and mitigated the environmental impact of the material that was posing the risk production stoppages at our Assembly Plants. - This project was awarded a 2015 FCA North American Environmental Health and Safety Award, and was a runner up for the 2015 FCA Global Environmental Health and Safety Award.• Led a Center of Competence Team, which is comprised of representatives from each of the 11 FCA North American Assembly Plants, in an effort to identify weaknesses and improve quality metrics at each plant.• Provided technical support to FCA Assembly Plants on material and/or process related issues through the use of World Class Manufacturing problem solving tools and the Kaizen methodology to evaluate the issue crisis and implement a permanent solution in a timely manner.
Process Engineer
• Responsible for designing and conducting various testing procedures involving material application process simulation as well as the evaluation of appearance and durability of specific paints and materials. - Led and worked alongside facility mechanics during test setup and execution.• Developed and implemented a standardized Excel-based reporting program that is used daily within each FCA North American Assembly Plant. • Performed monthly departmental statistical performance reviews.• Conduct the interview process for hiring departmental intern candidates.
