Silent Falcon is a small unmanned aerial vehicle startup making a solar-assisted electric fixed-wing plane (~15ft wingspan).- Created the plane's primary 3D CAD models in CATIA- Integrated an autopilot system, acted as "pilot" during early autopilot testing- Developed a number of full-stack internal webapps- Wrote software to complement the ground control software, including a tracking antenna (talks to a COTS pan/tilt unit), a server to interface with NASA's unmanned traffic system, etc- Wrote GIS scripts in support of the inherent nature of geospatial data collection and processing. Developed an automated defect detection/measuring system using machine learning (TensorFlow) in a drone image analysis application that feeds quantitative numbers at the output- Developed hardware and embedded software including a multi-node (via both CAN bus and MQTT/Ethernet) RTOS-enabled datalogging system in support of a DARPA-funded project- Participated in numerous international flight demonstrations (former United Airlines Gold member due to miles)
