As a Chartered Builder with over 30 years experience in the construction industry, I have spent the last 20 years as a client-side representative for both large Private Sector Organisations and Governmental Public Sector Institutions. Previously as Head of Construction for the UK Atomic Energy Authority and now as the Strategic Site Development Manager for Tokamak Energy, a private Fusion Energy research company. I manage both in-house construction professionals and external consultants on a range of multi-million pound projects for the development of cutting edge research facilities, across multiple sites.A proven track record managing the construction process from inception to hand over including master planning, stakeholder engagement at all levels, and supporting the design process, demonstrated through a diligent adherence to RIBA stages, the application of strong budgeting and financial controls and a necessary emphasis on sustainability and risk management.I have previously worked as a Programme and Project Manager on multiple projects, that have included demolition, refurbishment and new-build, and all under strict regulatory control within challenging, highly sensitive and secure work-site environments.
