During this time I was responsible for the installation of IT equipment at locations across the UK. This included installing servers, setting up user acceptance testing environments and leading large scale desktop deployments. I was also required on numerous occasions to resolve issues with live sites that had occurred post implementation.

In this position I was responsible for collection of client data to facilitate the production design documents. These were used to enable the installation of IT equipment at the client sites. Size of sites ranged from 25 to over 1000 users located throughout the UK.

In this role I was required to travel to client sites to repair IT equipment, such as PC’s, printers and servers. I was also responsible for the day to day management of Y2K testing for several companies, which involved me dealing with users on a daily basis. I was also deployed as an onsite engineer on a couple of occasions as support to their internal IT departments.

In this position my main purpose was offer members of the public advice on which piece of equipment would suit their needs best. I worked mainly in the Computer Section but did also advise on a wide range of products. I was also required to resolve many customer issues with equipment they had been sold.

In this job I was required to configure computer equipment for retail customers, advise on purchases, resolve customer problems and provide technical support. I was also responsible for the management of branch stock.
