Since early age, I learned about the importance of discipline through the practice of judo. It showed me that without self-motivation and sacrifice, I would not be able to achieve my accomplishments as a high performance athlete for over 6 years. But aside from the athletic routine, I realized that these traits have taken deeper roots and played a major role on allowing me to pursue greater goals and responsibilities in other aspects of my life. At the age of 16, I launched myself in a sport exchange program in Alberta – Canada, with the desire to expand my English language and judo skills. Besides these objectives, I have proved to myself that I could not only adapt to new challenges and responsibilities, but also thrive with them. Once I expanded my world and realized that, there was no turning back. My desire for self-development and for capacity to deal with greater situations became substantially accentuated. Later on, after graduating from high school and convinced that the healthcare area could best allow me to fulfill my goals of assuming greater responsibilities and making difference on other people's lives, I decided to pursue the paramedic career in Canada, which I found would offer the best opportunities. So far, already immersed in the paramedicine field, I have been increasingly satisfied with the incomparable chances I had to make use of my analytical and rational skills and to develop them on situations of exceptional caution and authority.
