Graduated with a first-class honours from a BSc in Biomedical, Health and Life Sciences in UCD. My final stage thesis project focused on examining the impact of interleukin-8 on cutaneous malignant melanoma progression, as assessed by in vitro models. Following my studies, I worked within the Translational Research Division at BigHat Biosciences to experience the innovative work culture within the San Francisco Bay Area, while further developing my skills as a scientist. Now that I have returned from my time in the Bay Area, I have begun my medical studies at UCD and am excited to see where my next steps take me.
