Responsibilities included:- Supporting in the preparation of annual reporting cost information to Ofgem.- Preparation of various aspects of regulatory requirements including liaising with external auditors, business assurance and regulatory teams.- Setting up benchmarking processes against comparator companies to generate insight for business strategy and activities.- Working as a self-starter with external contractors in setting up new reporting processes to track business productivity ensuring an alignment to regulatory benchmarking.- Providing financial support to aid decision making in the Distribution business, providing financial modelling, analysis, oversight and governance.

Management Accountant for 2 sites within the Edinburgh region.Responsible for the accounting and vehicle admin departments, including 5 direct reports. Areas of responsibility include:• Management of accounting team to follow timely daily, weekly and monthly requirements; as well as personal and professional development• Production of month end accounts, following business process• Reporting of results to the site’s general manager and divisional finance director, including ad hoc analysis comparing to manufacturer composites• Calculation of VAT and payroll• Production of monthly mid-month and WD2 forecasts• Annual business planning and report to key stakeholders

My key responsibilities were to develop and deliver full financial reporting for the marketing cost centres for both month end accounts, as well as, forecasting to end of year. My role was also key in developing methodology for analysing key marketing data streams, development reporting and interpreting this data into useful insights. Some areas of coverage include:• Initially to construct, set up and implement reporting for accounting and marketing streams• Producing mid-month estimates, month end estimates and final month end accounts to deadline for the marketing cost centres• Monthly reporting meetings with departmental directors and CMO as well as producing a consolidated report for the CEOCOM pack and financial analysis pack• Development and preparation of annual business plan for marketing departments and presentation of this to CEO• Analysis on ROI for marketing activity including the development and calculation of key metrics to produce this data• Campaign reporting automation to ensure timely data insights for senior management to implement changes to establish successful campaigns• Payroll report construction including calculation of employee bonus levels• Automation of data streams into the BI system as well as report construction within the system• Established as a “go-to” person within the department for presentation of complex material in a clear, concise and effective way

My role included the below:- Providing financial analysis and reporting across multiple sites across EMEA- Quarterly construction of accurate and timely financial forecasts with revenues in the millions- Annual budgets for multiple programs in multiple currencies.- Balance sheet reconciliations - Verification of monthly invoices- Report construction to provide meaningful and relevant information to a variety of internal resources - Monthly income statement reconciliations against forecasts/budgets for internal reporting- Fx variance analysis against forecasts/budgets- Mid month forecast of expected revenue and gross margin figures for multiple programs- Ad hoc analysis and support for report generation/general support on a timely manner
