Technical lead of a team of developers and QA engineers responsible for creating a React GUI that ranon a point-of-care medical diagnostic device powered by an embedded Yocto Linux system.Implemented screens, components, and behaviors from UI requirements provided by the User Experience team.Designed and developed an application stack to replace the device’s previous Qt/QML GUI with one written inReact running on Chromium, including dispatching WebSocket messages to/from D-Bus services(relaying hardware events and controlling assay workflows / test result storage) via a NodeJS server.Developed D-Bus services in Python to handle system tasks outside of the browser sandbox (such as hardware interactions and device driver controls).Designed D-Bus service APIs across teams to ensure that UX requirements were satisfied up front, reducing the number of bugs handled by QA and UX.Created and maintained Yocto recipes that built the team’s stack into OS images (including a Chromium kiosk,Python services, and GUI artifacts). Also enabled GUI features based on build types and supported migration to Sokol Flex OS from an in-house Yocto Linux base. Reviewed changes from other teams that impacted the GUI application stack and supported integration efforts and bug triage.Performed all work in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe 5) Agile Release Train.

Designed and implemented enhancements to the C/C++ airfare pricing platform which receives 2 billion requests per day to provide accurate ticket prices to airlines and travel websites.Ensured proposals by business analysts were compatible with the existing applications.Mentored junior developers as they learned the code base, deployment tools, test system infrastructure, and delivered code to the continuous integration system.Oversaw all maintenance and changes to the two modules owned by the team: Passenger Facility Charges (PFC) and Slice and Dice non-standard revenue management (S&D).Redesigned PFC diagnostic output so non-developers could investigate incidents, reducing both incident response times and questions raised to the team.Enhanced the S&D module to permit unique implementations of Dual Inventory Fares (DIF) which reduced fare filing costs and pricing discrepancies while preserving system response time.Enhanced the automated ticket changer to correctly process DIF, reducing required manual interventions for changes and easing customer call center workloads.Eliminated all back end crashes caused by S&D code since taking ownership, reducing automated alarms for operations staff, and improving service level agreement (SLA) compliance.Provided on-site support to Southwest Airlines during their platform migration phases to Amadeus.

Processed customer orders with a point-of-sale system, sorted orders to ensure appropriate cleaning methods were used on garments, ran customer data queries to organize old orders and expedite pickups, and communicated potential issues with customers and staff as needed.
