Occasionally I take some time to myself and go hunting. I also enjoy getting out in my classic car. I dabble in a good bit of DIY – which as a bit of a perfectionist, is a pretty good way to keep learning and honing new practical skills.Back in the day, my interest in animals and science led me to think I might like to be a veterinarian. University saw me complete a Zoology degree, then I did a post grad diploma Forestry – as I was sure I’d rather work outdoors than in a lab. I started out working in Forestry, but situations and life took over, and then my future vocations (and my love for practicality) pulled me into the construction industry. What I learned, is I like to learn and to challenge myself. Luckily, I still get to spend a lot of time outdoors!
