Risks and opportunities were included in the forecast and quarter calls were made based on current run rate and probability of risks and opportunities occurring.Role 1: GEnx Product Cost Analyst, Supply Chain Finance (Cincinnati, OH) July 2012 - January 2013Forecasted output cost of GE’s GEnx engine (1B and 2B) using Excel model by taking into account inventory, input cost, engineering projects, as well as shop and vendor purchase order schedules. The GEnx powers Boeing’s new 787 Dreamliner.

Researched potential fund managers based on specific investment criteria for a private equity fund-of-funds focused on small buyout and growth equity funds and direct co-investments. Identified 5 new potential managers. Created a fund and direct co-investment model that incorporates fund investment strategy based on fund type, size and industry focus. The model projects fund commitment sizes given the target allocation and existing investments. Built presentation focused on post-recession exit trends in the private equity industry that was presented to a Japanese institutional advisory client. Performed various aspects of fund due diligence including meeting with 19 potential fund managers, drafting 9 fund qualification memorandums, conducting financial analysis, and benchmarking funds’ performance. Managed the firm’s CRM database by inputting all aspects of prospective funds and direct co-investments. Drafted notes to document interactions with potential fund managers and distributed notes to the investment team.

Internally managed First Trade’s FDICIA (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Improvement Act) project: interviewed 9 department managers, updated control matrices, created Visio workflow diagrams, and documented gaps and weaknesses. Met all FDICIA project deadlines while reporting weekly to the CEO and external auditor; presented the five month long project and control coverage results to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. Developed First Trade Union Bank’s first investment presentation which management used on road shows to raise external private capital; presentation included investment thesis, product descriptions, condition ratios, trend graphs and peer analysis. Decreased month-end income statement and balance sheet preparation time by 50% by creating complex formula-based Excel spreadsheets to automate budget variance and rate volume month-end reports. Assisted the CFO and Controller with month-end financial reporting, including posting month-end GL entries, updating the balance sheet and income statement used in the monthly board package, and conducting rate volume analysis.

Tracked new business requests, contract orders and mailings by applying Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel to run queries and save reports. Processed requests to cancel shipment of contracts containing errors and communicated with vendors to ensure that erroneous contracts were not distributed. Utilized the internal print production database and vantage database to process and order contracts from the vendor. Researched issues related to the production of contracts to prevent errors with the processing of future contract requests.

Helped increase company revenue by an average of $4,000 per event by developing marketing blasts which advertised the company’s lead retrieval hardware. Sent marketing blasts via mail merge in MS Outlook and Excel. Researched and developed detailed reports on exhibitors and used the study to pinpoint potential business opportunities. Processed calls and assisted clients and partners with questions related to Leads’ lead retrieval services and devices. Generated $2,000 in windfall revenue for the company while in charge of selling excess computer inventory.
