Courageous is what my coworkers call me because I’m not afraid to take the leadership role in my work life, which creates a contagious atmosphere for everyone who surrounds me. I’m a Direct Support Professional with a passion for healthcare while helping individuals to succeed and reach their highest potential. I’m a loyal professional who has mastered my interpersonal skills who is proficient in team related tasks, serving customers, and working efficiently with others that have different cultural backgrounds. I enrolled in Stevens-Henager College to pursue my passion in the Pharmaceutical field to become a Pharmacy Technician. I have obtained excellent data entry skills, strong time management skills, and organizational skills that will set me apart when hiring potential candidates. Trained in HIPPA procedures, medical terminology, and advanced pharmacy technology. I have become a leader with my current employers to the individuals I support to reach their goals in life-oriented situations. I adapt to situations quickly for example: I work with clients who suffer from developmentally disabilities which getting comfortable to their can be difficult. I dealt with a client who was showing severe behavioral actions while trying to inflict pain on their roommate and staff around them. I was able to control the situation through the clients’ behavioral plan and defuse the situation and restore a healthy balance within the workplace. Why is this important? My coworkers, Manager, and supervisor couldn’t find a solution to calm the individual, but with my excellent adaptive skills, problem solving skills, and interpersonal skills guided me to fix this problem, and that’s exactly what I can bring to my future career in Pharmacy.
