It Engineer
My work within INET was as a Frontline IT Engineer within a Managed Service Provider. I actedas the primary point of contact for customer calls, logging tasks within our ticket managementsystem. I undertook site visits by myself as I was insured on the company van to assist with therollout of numerous company-wide projects. Issues generally related to O365 issues, Datto Cloudstorage issues, file and folder recovery, troubleshooting issues with PC’s from Windows OS to Mac.Resolving issues within PBX system and with Client software also.One notable project was for a large multi-national construction company. Due to my educationwithin Cybersecurity I was tasked with conducting a Cybersecurity review for this business. I wroteup a review on cybersecurity issues specifically affecting the construction industry and what we cando to address/mitigate such threats. This review was brought before the C suite of the constructiongiant which lead to the finalisation of a contract for us to harden their business against cyberthreatsgoing forward.I gained experience with many tools within my time at INET, namely:*Watchguard Firewall/VPN*ESET endpoint AV*Office 365/Exchange/Defender*Topsec/Hornet Web filter*Kaseya suite software*Datto RMM/Cloud storage*3CX PBX phone system*NMAPExperiences I’ve valued in this role have been developing relationships with our clients andconfidence in my abilities within IT. Often I would show up to a site with limited information on anissue and would have to figure the issue out by myself often with clients anticipating the issue to beresolved quickly looking over my shoulder. I contributed greatly to streamlining our response timesin the company as well as facilitating project rollouts to client companies due to my greatadaptability within the role. Often representing my company face to face with the owners of othercompanies resolving pressing technical issues for them.
