Additionally, lead the education of physicians, scientists, patients and other external and internal stakeholders in the areas of ophthalmology, inherited retinal diseases, gene therapy, genetic testing, and clinical development of Luxturna.

Lead and support Ophthalmology initiatives across company divisions on current and future indications

Provide ophthalmic guidance for clinical trial design, endpoints, data analysis and other aspects of clinical development. Provide surgical expertise for intraocular injections into small animal models for preclinical studies. Provide inherited retinal disease expertise company wide, including commercial, regulatory, R and D, diagnostics, patient advocacy, safety and medical affairs. Prior position was the Medical Affairs Ophthalmic Lead/ /medical director/ disease expert. Experience with the Luxturna development program includes, sub-investigator in RPE65 gene therapy clinical trials for phase 1-3 prior to joint Spark, main concentration in administration of the primary endpoint. Primary developer of Phase III novel primary endpoint, multi-luminance mobility test (MLMT), PI and first author of MLMT study, PI and first author of RPE65 natural history study. Preliminary selection and site visit of potential treatment centers worldwide. Extensive KOL network in the US, with equal emphasis ex-US.
