Dan Weitzman has been an activist since his youth. For the past twenty-seven years, his energy and enthusiasm have been focused on political fundraising, event planning and neighborhood activism. Dan currently serves as the Elected Controller of the California Democratic Party . He is also Principal and Owner of Daniel C. Weitzman Consulting, a firm which specializes in electing Democrats across California. Dan has been instrumental in assisting former Assembly Speakers Toni Atkins , John A. Perez, Karen Bass, Fabian Nunez and Robert Hertzberg as well as Former Assembly Majority Leader Dario Frommer, Senate President pro Tempore-Emeritus Kevin de Leon , Darrell Steinberg, and numerous other elected officials in the California State Legislature with their fundraising and political leadership efforts. Most recently , Weitzman was a key finance consultant in the successful election of Ricardo Lara as Ca Insurance Commissioner in November of 2018 . He has also been a key adviser and consultant to Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg and his successful Measure U campaign in 2018 . He also serves a Member of the Harry S. Truman Democratic Club Executive Committee and is an active member of the Sacramento County Democratic Central Committee. In addition , he is on the Board of Directors of the Sacramento Jewish Federation and serves as Vice-Chair of the Del Rio Trail Committee in South Land Park Neighborhood. Weitzman is a seasoned veteran of California State Politics, participating in more than three dozen political . Dan has also made ballot measure campaigns a priority by acting as an integral part of the Proposition 63 and Proposition 77.
