As the leader of the new Mayo Clinic Advanced Digital Education Laboratory, I oversee a new group that develops education on fusion skills for the workforce, coordinates educational initiatives, creates advanced educational tools, and innovates in the use of artificial intelligence in all its forms. We aim to advance the use of new technologies, equip health professions with the skills to interact with non-human agents, set best practice standards for AI and education, and innovate with cutting-edge ideas to enhance the education of health care professionals and always to do what is best for our patients.At the Platform for Knowledge Solutions in Emergency Medicine at Mayo Clinic, I design and implement innovative and effective ways to improve the creation, dissemination, and application of medical knowledge in emergency medicine. I am enthusiastic about advancing the boundaries of medical education and continuous professional development, using my expertise in emergency medicine, blockchain, artificial intelligence, rhizomatics, and simplicity. I think we are witnessing a major change in how we handle and learn medical knowledge, removing the obstacles that hinder development and distribution, and moving to an open creation, access, review, and modification model. My goal is to enable learners, educators, and clinicians to improve patient outcomes and health care quality.
