Exploration geologist from the University of Chile, with a post Graduate Diploma in Geo-Mining and Metallurgy, University of Chile, a post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management, Catholic University of Chile. With 21 years of experience in geology of porphyry copper deposits and epithermal gold deposits , 11 years of experience as a Senior Geologist with development in both, exploration and production areas as well as QA/QC and sampling area at Minera Escondida, BHP Billiton, Teck Cominco, Barrick and Rio Tinto. 3 years working as Principal Geologist at RioTinto Exploration in Chile.During my years of experience I have received strong formal and informal training in geochemistry and sampling from short courses provided by universities and longer graduate diplomas with modules focused on sampling and geochemistry. Project managing have been my more challenging role at Rio Tinto, being successful leading project supported by helicopter, other with community complexity and Uxo´s presence.My diverse experience in mine geology has allowed me to get an overview of the mining business and to understand the importance of the different stages of the production chain, from sampling to metallurgy that make possible a profitable business. I have always been highly committed to my work teams and institutions where I have worked. I am achievement orientated with high performance and high safety standards and I also have experience working in coordination with operation teams areas.My experience in Exploration has provided me with the necessary skills for the development, design and planning of exploration programs and the identification, selection, development and evaluation of targets with exploration potential. This has allowed me to integrate geological knowledge and the use of software to develop 3D models. I have performed both Brownfield and Greenfield type of exploration looking for new copper porphyry type deposits either outcropping or covered.
